Note.
Mirage de Loire is a soundscape composed in 2008/2009, using various
field recordings of the river "La loire", at a wild point, near oudon
(a few miles from Nantes, France). Field recordings were made on the
river and then transformed and mixed on computer.
This piece is transcribes my imagination aroused by the sounds of that place.

Review.
French electroacoustic
composer Hervé Moire presents an elegant slice of nature on this one.
Moire starts with field recordings from a quiet bank of the Loire river
and adds to them musically. His process is digital, slickly layering
droning tones on top of the field recordings, which are themselves full
of birds, bullfrogs, crickets, rushing water, and other pleasant
natural sounds. Moire’s light touch allows for a lot of space and a
blending of the natural and the digital, so it’s not always easy to
tell where one begins and ends.
This blurring becomes more
expressionistic and imaginative throughout the 23-minute piece, a
contemplative and enigmatic response to the place — Foxy Digitalis
